⚛️ Description: This water trap filter is the standard water trap used in the Forensics Detectors combustion filter line kit that comes with all our combustion analyzers. It can be used within an in-line sample tubing arrangement to trap condensate from your gas sample line. The water trap has a magnetic particle filter with a coarse regular particle filter mesh to catch any spurious "junk" as flue gas can get very dirty with a variety of debris and particulate. The top is a detachable Screw Cover to Discharge Water Condensate.
📶 How does it work? The water trap is designed to remove water vapor and condensation from gas streams before they can reach the detector or analyzer. When a hot and moist gas sample exists, it is drawn through the gas line and quickly cools which changes the dew point and creates condensate (water). Before any filtering, the condensate must be trapped so it does not proceed further in the gas sample line to minimize clogging, blocking, or water damage.
