This gas detector is sensitive to acidic gases and vapors such as acetic acid (C2H4O2), hydrochloric acid (HCl), sulfuric acid (H2SO4), hydrofluoric acid (HF), nitric acid (HNO3), peracetic acid (C₂H₄O₃) and formic acid (CH2O2). Tracking and monitoring acidic gases is important in processing, spot checking, indoor vapor cloud checking, laboratory, and personal safety. The unit comes factory-calibrated to HCl acidic gas.
