  • ⚛️  Description: This is an absorbing carbon monoxide filter made using 100% hopcalite pellets. Used in various gas sensing applications to reduce and eliminate residual carbon monoxide so that no cross-interference occurs. For example, commonly used to detect hydrogen gas using electrochemical gas sensor technology, since H2 gas sensors have a large CO gas cross-interference.
  • 📶  How does it work? Hopcalite is a catalyst, a mixture of copper and manganese oxides (CuMnOx), used for converting carbon monoxide (CO) to carbon dioxide (CO2). It's primarily employed in applications requiring CO gas removal, such as gas mask filters, breathing apparatus, and gas detection applications.
  • 👫  Instructions: Connect the filter in line with the air supply tubing. The filter is bi-directional, so it does not matter which way it is connected. One end is the input the other is the output directed to the sensor. The gas detector setup requires positive pressure from either an external pump or an internal built-in pump.
