  • ⚛️  Description: This inline PTFE membrane disc filter features a male barb and female luer lock fitting, perfect for a generic gas sampling application. The 5-micron polytetrafluoroethylene membrane provides hydrophobic particulate exclusion, preventing liquid ingress while maintaining low differential pressure drop across the flow path. The chemically inert PTFE matrix resists degradation from corrosive vapors, aggressive reagents, and oxidizing atmospheres.
  • 📶  How does it work? Pressurized gas (from the pump in a gas detector) enters through the barbed inlet and passes through the hydrophobic PTFE membrane matrix. Particles exceeding 5 microns are mechanically intercepted and retained on the upstream membrane face via size exclusion. Filtered gas exits through the female Luer lock, while the hydrophobic membrane surface tension prevents liquid contamination from passing downstream.
  • 👫  Instructions: Connect the filter in line with the air supply tubing or attach directly to the barb of the gas analyzer (compatible with FD-600 and FD-600M). The filter is bi-directional, so it does not matter which way it is connected. One end is the input, the other is the output directed to the sensor. The gas detector setup requires positive pressure from either an external pump or an internal built-in pump.
