Details: The professional Carbon Disulfide (CS2) gas meter by FORENSICS. Carbon Disulfide gas detectors are typically used in rubber processing facilities, in cellophane production sites, and rayon fabric manufacturing environments. Carbon Disulfide has a rotten egg odor and is toxic when taken in through the respiratory system or the skin. The human nose alone cannot reliably detect Carbon Disulfide, so a Carbon Disulfide monitor is helpful to prevent excessive harmful exposure. Exposure limits for CS2 include the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (8 hours) 20ppm. 30ppm is ceiling and 100ppm is peak. NIOSH recommended airborne exposure limit (REL) is 1 ppm and 10 ppm, not to be exceeded during any 15-minute work period.
