Calibration gas is used to calibrate your gas detector, typically every 12 months, in order to ensure accuracy. Over time, gas sensors naturally degrade. The only way to ensure accuracy is to perform gas calibration, which involves exposing your gas detector to a reference gas that is traceable to a national standard. For the USA, it is NIST traceable calibration gas. Calibration gas bottles also require a gas regulator to function. We also have Bump Gas, which is recommended for routine functional testing. Alternatively, we offer gas calibration service for your single gas detector or 4 gas meter. See our YouTube Playlist of our Calibration Gas.
